Chancellor’s Message to the Graduates

Assalamu Alaikum wa rahmatullahi wabarakatuhu.

As we celebrate IOU’s 12th Convocation, we are reminded that technological advancements, especially including artificial intelligence which is reshaping our world at an unprecedented pace. Yet for the believer, change by itself is not a threat; instead, it is a unique opportunity for improvement and correction existing errors.
Islam teaches us that knowledge is a trust which, once learned, should be shared and its innovative application a responsibility. The unique tools of today’s world, when guided by faith, will ultimately become instruments of societal service, justice, and compassion.
Our graduates step into a future where their values must anchor their creativity, and where their understanding of the Quran and Sunnah should illuminate their professional decisions.
I pray that each and every one of you uses your acquired skills and your faith to guide the next generation towards a more ethical, and spiritually conscious use of technology. May Allah bless your journey, protect your intentions, and make you leaders who contribute positively to humanity.
